BIOGRAPHY Janet Miller Wiseman LICSW, Certified Divorce & Family Mediator, MCFM Long-Established: Since 1979 Janet Miller Wiseman is one of the longest established divorce and family mediators in Massachusetts. When in 1979 she founded The Negotiation Collaborative, she helped to co-spearhead a shift from adversarial negotiation in Massachusetts divorce to a much more usual expectation of cooperative settlement of disputes through mediation and negotiation. Janet co-founded the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation in 1981 and was President for two years. Pioneer in Divorce Mediation: Developing Creative Alternatives As a pioneer in the field of divorce mediation in Massachusetts, Janet has over 28 years experience in helping parties understand the requirements and statutes of divorce and in helping them develop creative solutions to co-parenting, resource sharing and asset division.
